Anna joined Innovex as a raw recruit, looking for a break as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA), here she tells us why, six years later, she’s still with Innovex…
My career with Innovex has been a kind of evolution. When I first joined I knew I wanted to be a CRA and Innovex provided a fantastic mix of training to help me achieve my first goal. I spent six months initially working in an office support role whilst receiving formal training to be a CRA, as well as hands on experience during accompanied site visits.
I cut my teeth as a CRA on a large Innovex managed SAMM study and thereafter I chose to move into a hospital environment and progressed through the CRA ranks to a line and then a project management role.
Had I been on headcount, any of these moves might well have been hampered by my employer’s business objectives, but my Manager and the Resourcing team at Innovex have supported me every step of the way: finding the right positions for me to enable me to progress at the right time.
I have gained invaluable experience during my six years with Innovex, working within a wide variety of Pharma companies and although I’ve been a contract worker since that first Innovex managed SAMM study, I’ve always felt a part of Innovex.
In my time working with Innovex’s customers I’ve been through a number of mergers and the associated upheaval and each time it makes me really appreciate the stability and support of the Innovex environment – it always feels like coming home.
Cathy, an Innovex Line Manager and a mother of two, tells us it’s the “three f’s” which make Innovex as much her employer of choice today, as it was when she joined ten years ago…
I joined Innovex as a nurse fresh from the NHS over ten years ago and then, as now, I was drawn to Innovex by what I refer to as the three f’s – the flexibility, the fun and the fantastic variety.
The initial draw of the CRA role at Innovex was the opportunity to be based at home and to organise my workload to fit my lifestyle; but as the years and my career with Innovex have evolved, I have really appreciated the variety of opportunities and the structured career progression that Innovex has provided.
Over the years I have worked in both insourced and outsourced positions on projects based within UK Pharma and internationally and I’ve gained line, project and account management experience. This is exposure and experience that I do not believe I would have had the opportunity to acquire had I been working anywhere other than Innovex.
There is literally never a dull moment and Innovex is a past master at keeping the challenges and the opportunities flowing, whilst ensuring that I’m always ready to rise to them.
